Catching up with news about AI in AAC Apps
It is hard to keep up! Over the last two months we have been exploring the changes that have been happening in the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) image generation and learning that there are ways of creating AI generated AAC symbols without having to train large data sets, but as always there are other challenges to consider, such as how complex does a prompt or text description have to be to generate an acceptable AAC symbol!

Symbol Creator AI Beta Testing and Prompt Hints TEST14
Online generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) models used to create images by adding text descriptions to an edit box have changed so much in the last year. The AI models tend to be faster and we have found they can react more precisely to what is required when thinking about pictographic symbols for AAC use. These innovations have meant a total re-design of Symbol Creator AI and now it is time for beta testing and asking for feedback.
